Alonso was born with a craniofacial condition called Crouzon Syndrome. Crouzon syndrome is a genetic syndrome that is characterized by the premature fusion of the bones in the skull. This early fusion prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face. Patients can experience wide-set, bulging eyes and vision problems caused by shallow eye sockets, an underdeveloped jaw, and potentially dental issues and hearing loss.

Despite this, Alonso has an incredibly sweet disposition and always makes the people around him smile. He’s the life of every party, and it’s been a joy to see how he’s grown with our care.
