myFace Stars & InspireMore
Did you know April is. Facial Protection Month? We’re spreading the word to remind both children and adults: as you suit up for outdoor and sports activities this spring, don’t forget to protect your face and head. Many oral and facial injuries can be easily prevented with the use of sports safety equipment like helmets and mouth guards.
As part of Facial Protection Month, we’re partnering with InspireMore, the the world’s largest community of positive people talking about and sharing all of the good things happening in the world. Check back April 1st (no fooling)!
Born with Síndrome de Apert, Sara faced more hardship than most. Despite her facial difference, Sara’s love for life and the people around her continued to grow. Sara’s self-worth remained through every hard day and doctor’s visit, every unkind word and criticism.
Secure in herself, Sara decided there was another goal to tackle… her dream of surfing. Sara’s body wasn’t built to surf. Her feet couldn’t grip the board – her joints couldn’t flex like they needed to; but Sara didn’t care. It was her dream. She was born to surf, and for so much more.
Sara’s life is a wonderful reminder that despite circumstances, life is a beautiful thing.
Check out Sara’s exclusive interview here on 4/1/19 and join us, with InspireMore, in sharing her story with the world.
